Among the various topics discussed was the preparation for the 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in Auditing and Accounting, which serves as a platform for fostering innovation and expertise in the field. Additionally, there was a proposal to create a new AI-powered platform that would streamline and consolidate the committee’s work and results, signaling a shift towards more technologically integrated solutions in the auditing sector.
The meeting also included a review of recommendations that emerged from previous research competitions, ensuring that past insights continue to inform and improve current practices. Furthermore, participants delved into the training programs scheduled for 2025 and 2026, which are aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of professionals within the GCC auditing and accounting community.
In preparation for future events, officials scrutinized the agenda for the next meeting of GCC audit institution heads. They also laid out plans for the upcoming GCC Financial and Administrative Audit Week, an event designed to bolster regional cooperation in public auditing and financial oversight.
